Christmas cuddle

Last week I finished my cuddly christmas quilt.
I'm so proud and I really like this quilt so much.

It has a lovely flannel back with super cute christmas print. I used some low cotton batting so it's perfect to use it as a cuddly blanket on my sofa.

I quilted the baby free motion which turned into my fave way of quilting. It's so easy and quick and the result is always stunning and outstanding.
Sadly my table is to small so I have to take my sewing machine to the inlaws and quilt my quilts at their awesome big dinning table (if I want to quilt free motion).

The quilt pattern is so lovely and I'm very happy that I found it.

I made a few extra blocks to turn them into some fun gifts.
I turned one block into a pillow cover.

It's a pillow cover for my cute friend Mira. I just dropped it into her mail box. Now I'm waiting to hear back from her. I hope she will like the fabrics I picked for her.

This is my pillow.

I made the dresden plates last year before I went to Hong Kong but I had no time to finish it.
Last night finally I turned the christmas dresden plates into a pillow for my sofa.

Now my home is looking very warm and christmassy.
I pulled out all the decoration and set them up.
I will post pictures the next days.

Now I will go back and cuddle under my quilt.

Christmas is coming...

... and the goose is getting fat... (* my fave christmas song)

Only one month till christmas and I try not to panic.
My to do list is pretty long but I try to get everything on time.

Glady I can skip one little point from the list. The top for my christmas quilt is finally done.

It's made from my little but deeply loved christmas fabric stash.
Most of the fabrics are in my stash for a few years already. I rarely buy holiday themed fabrics. Mostly only 3 or 4 each year so I had to wait a few years to make this quilt.

I wanted a simple design for the quilt blocks to save on time and I wanted less cutting to showcase the prints.
The gift package design from Kate Spain by Moda was the best choice in my eyes.

I added a fun border from my fave Alexander Henry fabric. The cute christmas scenes are so adorable and I'm glad that I came up with the idea of the border.

Now I just need to baste and quilt this baby which will be done hopefully on monday or tuesday while I spent a few days at the inlaws.

I'm not sure if I talked about my fave clothes label already.
At the monent I buy lots of stuff from mint & berry.

Mint & Berry is a fantastic little lable from Berlin. They make awesome clothes and I would love to buy all their stuff.

Emotion

I'm still at home with depression.
I'm feeling better every day and I'm able to enjoy life more and more each day.

The past days have been an emotional rollercoaster for me.
My mood wasn't the best. I'm pretty sure it's because of my current job situation.
My company is closing my department and I'm jobless in the new year.

Even if I complained very often in the past years I loved my job and the guys at work.

My work kept me grounded durring this year.
It made me feel normal.

I'm not sure if I'm able to go back for the last 6 weeks of work. It makes me sad being there and I'm not able to focus on sth.
Gladly I can stay at home with sick leave till the middle of december and I still have lots of paid holidays left.

Right now I'm sewing my ass of. My to do list before christmas is soooo long.
I hope to get everything done in time.
