Harajuku & Shinjuku

The last few days had been busy. We were so busy with shopping around. We had a long list and we nearly got everything we want.
On thursday we went to Harajuku. We got up very early and went to the Meiji shrine first. At that point it wasn't crowded so we were able to see a wedding. Sadly it was a bit cold since it was so early so we didn't stay as long as we wanted.
After we left we saw lots of tourists coming so going early was definetly a smart idea.
We took a quick walk to best shopping street in Harajuku. It so amazing and great for people watching. Lots of young japans shop at that place and you can see their amazing style. I got myself two cute skirts. I always want more but having a guy with you for clothes shopping isn't that fun. Of course we went to Kiddyland too but I didn't get anything special. Just a little pen this time. But I do spent lots of money on Daiso...if course .
In the evening we just walked around in Ueno and relaxed.

Yesterday we got up pretty late so we had to skip the breakfast.
We went to Shinjuku to some art supply stores. It was heaven for mr. artistic and I found some great colored pastels for my custom Blythe.

Since we got up so late there was not enough time to do lots in the evening. Just some little candy shopping in our area.

Today we are off to fabric heaven. I hope I will have enough cash for everything.

You can see always more pics at my flickr.

2. Ueno park

Yesterday we woke ip pretty late so we decided to hang around in the neighbourhood only.
Since our hotel is in Uneo we decided to visit the Ueno park first. It was perfect weather and the first little flowers were already there. It must be amazing when the flowers bloom in a few weeks. Dadly we won't be able to see that while we are since we leave earlier.
The weather was so freaking amazing that we had to go to the Ueno Zoo  too see the pig Pandas and the other animals. The zoo is bigger as we expected so we only saw half of the zoo but since the entrance fee is cheap we have to go again next week.
After the zoo we went to Yamashiroya toy store in Uneo.Mr. artistic had a blast since it was his first visit in a japanese toy store. We spent some time there but I just got a little kitty charm for my mobile phone. I nearly bought a middie Blythe but I want to check out the prices in Nakano broadway out first.

Plan for the next day: Harajuku

private fabric swap with Ayumi

Since I fall in love with Ayumi's brown fabric with letters (background) she offered me a piece for swap.
Quickly we made this into a little fabric swap.
We aggred to send smaller pieces ( 20 x 20 cm) to be able to send some of our fave fabrics.

I got all those lovely fabrics today. Ayumi picked some awesome fabrics for me.
I really love the heart printed fabric, the ice cream one, the pink one with the girl and of course all the other fabrics too <3.
There are only 2 doubles (the bremen town musicans and the deer ones & the smal red/ yelloe piece) but these are definetly some of my faves in my stash so it's perfect !!

Thanks Ayumi for making my day <3

I will show show what I sent out after it arrived at Ayumi's home .

I'm really looking for swimmer headphones.

I went to a swimmer shop when I was in japan (2008) but sadly I discovered this shop on my last day when I spent all my money on other stuff already :(

Anyone able to help ?

Help Japan: Hoppel raffle

Since the last weeks Japan is always in my mind.
I really would love to help the people so I came up with the idea to make special Hoppel's for Japan.
I had a hard time choosing the perfect fabric but finally I decided to use the super cute japanese fabric which I wanted to keep for a special project. I think this is the project which the fabrics were waiting for the past years.
I made three little Hoppel's which are filled with love and hope for Japan.

(Hoppel's for japan)

(special "Japan" embroidery on the back)

How the raffle works:

1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes: handmade Hoppel filled with looove.

Cost: $5 per ticket
Please don't use the word “raffle” in your payment, just put “Japan” in the subject.
paypal: The raffle is closed

As this is for charity, I don’t wish to limit the number of tickets sold.
I will leave the raffle open until April 1 th.
You can purchase as many tickets as you want.
As tickets are purchased, I will add your name to the list .
Winner will be chosen via random.org.

All donations will be given to Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.
